Ryan Reynolds is tipped to return for the Safe House sequel, it has been claimed.
The Green Lantern star, who is dating Blake Lively, is expected to reprise his role as young CIA agent Matt Weston in the next instalment, although "no deal has been made", said The Hollywood Reporter.
It is not known if his co-star Denzel Washington would appear but sources say Universal studios are "keen" for him to be involved.
David Guggenheim, who wrote the original script, is set to pen the as-yet-untitled sequel, while Scott Stuber is returning to the producer's chair. There is no word about whether director Daniel Espinosa would be back on board.
Ryan - whose next big-screen outing is in RIPD alongside Jeff Bridges and Kevin Bacon - has been focusing on his TV and production ventures. His new TV show, a comedy drama titled Between Park And Lex, has reportedly been snapped up by ABC.
He has also sold two new TV comedies to Fox - animation Lowe Rollers, about a family trying to get by running a sinking Titanic-themed casino in Las Vegas, and a live action show about a disgraced hotel hotshot who finds himself exiled to a budget airport hotel.
