Reynolds and Bateman to Change-Up
Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman are co-starring in a new body-swap movie from the writing team behind The Hangover.
The Change-Up will follow the classic comedy scenario of two people switching bodies that proved a hit in Freaky Friday and Vice Versa, except instead of parents and children changing lives for the movie, it will be friends, Deadline Hollywood reports.
Couples Retreat star Bateman has signed up to play a sensible, married family guy while Scarlett Johansson's husband Reynolds will play his best friend who's a slacker and a ladies man.
The bodyswap will ensure life lessons for both, but also mean Reynolds' character will be sleeping with his buddy's wife.
The Hangover's Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are writing the script and David Dobkin, director of Wedding Crashers and Fred Claus, is behind the camera on the Universal project.
