Jeremy Renner has landed a deal to star in and produce the rally racing film Slingshot.
The movie will tell the true story of Bill Caswell, a former banker who raced against professional teams in Mexico's World Rally Championships in a 500 dollar BMW he purchased on the Craigslist website.
Hurt Locker star Jeremy will co-produce the film with Don Handfield through their new production company The Combine, Variety reports.
The Oscar-nominated actor has been busy filming Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters alongside Gemma Arterton and Famke Janssen.
He will next be seen in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - the fourth film in the action franchise - then Joss Whedon's superhero film The Avengers.
