Ray Liotta has been cast in mob thriller The Field.
The Goodfellas actor will play an arms dealer in the movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Director Rohit Karn Batra, who will be making his feature film directorial debut, said he wrote the part especially for the Hollywood actor.
"Being an avid fan, it's an honour to have Ray sign on to play such a pivotal role, a character I wrote specifically for him," he said.
The Field is set in India and "explores an undercover operation between a generational Indian mob family through the themes of greed, corruption, family and loyalty".
Iceman star Ray, 59, joins Indian actors Ronit Roy, Neeraj Kabi, Vineet Singh and Radhika Apte in the film.
The actor's other upcoming projects include the Sin City sequel, A Dame To Kill For, and crime mystery Kill The Messenger.
