Pfeiffer: That catsuit was a chore
Michelle Pfeiffer has confessed she did not enjoy squeezing into the famous PVC catsuit she wore to play Catwoman.
The 54-year-old actress fulfilled many fans' fantasies as the whip-cracking, kick boxing supervillain in Tim Burton's 1992 film, but told Style magazine it was not easy.
Michelle said: "That catsuit was not pleasant to be in. It was a real chore. And the physicality of it all, the training and everything that went into it, was exhausting.
"But, even so, I really didn't want that one to end. Tim is such a joy to work with."
Anne Hathaway has taken on the role of Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated The Dark Knight Rises and Michelle stars in Tim's new film Dark Shadows as Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, the matriarch of the gothic family featured in the film.
After making 45 films, Michelle has no plans to call an end to her Hollywood career.
She said: "I can't see myself ever retiring. Ever.
"I started working part-time when I was 14 and still at school. And I've never stopped. From the moment I started, I loved it, and I feel like I always need to be productive in some way.
"When the kids were growing up, it was challenging and creative and a big project. But who knows? I may not always be acting. I hope I am."
