Pattinson says no to Brit accent
Robert Pattinson has reportedly said he would feel uncomfortable playing a British character in a film, adding that "English things aren't very good".
According to The Sun, the British-born Twilight star made the comment when asked about the possibility of him using his own accent in a movie.
The actor, who has become a big screen heartthrob thanks to his role as Edward Cullen in the hit vampire films, reportedly replied: "I feel very naked with my British accent. I feel like I'm not really acting. And also English things aren't very good."
The 26-year-old, who has been seen in more "grown-up" roles in Cosmopolis and Bel Ami of late, recently admitted that he struggled to find inspiration towards the end of his role in teen franchise Twilight.
"Playing the same part for a while, you just run out of ideas," he told ShortList magazine.
"You get to the point where you're like 'I don't want to do a film for a teen audience any more."
