Pattinson: First line was the worst
Robert Pattinson has said the hardest thing about his latest movie wasn't filming scenes of sex or violence - but saying his first line.
The Twilight heartthrob plays a billionaire who conducts his life from his swanky limousine in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis, where he is seen holding business meetings, seducing lovers and even having a prostate examination from his doctor.
But it wasn't the sex or violence, or even that certain probing scene, that fazed R-Patz.
"The toughest part was just the first day," he said. "The only thing I didn't really know how to do, even when we started shooting, was [say] the first line, which is 'I want a haircut'."
Laughing nervously, he added: "I still think it's the worst delivery in the whole movie."
He's passionate about the film, despite knowing that certain critics could be out to "get him" because of his massive success thanks to the Twilight vampire franchise.
He said: "[When] there's someone who makes a lot of noise early on when they're young, it's irritating to people. I completely get it because I judge people the same way.
"You have to earn respect. As long as I can keep making movies like this..." he said, trailing off.
"I know that I'll like this movie in 10 years' time and that's all I really care about."
