O'Carroll 'bursting with pride' at 'Boys' premiere
'MRS Brown's Boys D'Movie' has yet to hit cinema screens but comedian Brendan O'Carroll already has big plans for the two follow-up films in the trilogy.
"They'll be filmed in Dublin and I'll be getting a bigger salary," he joked at the world premiere at Dublin's Savoy Cinema.
Dubbed "the overnight success story that was 20 years in the making", Agnes Brown first appeared as a loudmouthed matriarch on RTE radio. Since then she has appeared in books, movies and TV shows.
The movie is a spin-off from the successful BBC sitcom. On the customised pink carpet, O'Carroll (58) said: "I'm an a emotional wreck to tell you the truth. I never dreamed of all this.
"After the journey I have been on, I am absolutely overwhelmed and bursting with pride.
"I only care what the audience think. I couldn't give a flying feck about the critics," he added.
