Nora Ephron's star-studded memorial
Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan and Meryl Streep were among the stars who attended a special memorial service for Nora Ephron in New York.
Stars paid tribute to the late writer and director - who died aged 71 last month following a battle with leukaemia - in a ceremony partly planned by Nora.
She had kept details in a folder marked "exit", according to the New York Times. Speakers were told "Don't be afraid to be funny."
Sleepless In Seattle star Tom and wife Rita Wilson apparently performed an imitation of an average night out with Nora and her husband of 28 years, Nick Pileggi.
Meryl, who had her big break in Nora's film Heartburn, asked the audience: "How do you talk about a friend who said everything you wished you could say?
"Everything you wanted to say in the world, but better and shorter and funnier?"
Also among the 800 guests at New York's Lincoln Centre were Steve Martin, Steven Spielberg, Annette Bening, Matthew Broderick, Sally Field, Jon Hamm and his partner Jennifer Westfeldt.
