Nolan in talks to direct Bond film
Christopher Nolan is reported to be in "informal talks" to direct the next James Bond film.
The director of The Dark Knight Batman trilogy and Inception has previously been linked to Bond films after Skyfall's Sam Mendes confirmed he would not return.
But now the Daily Mail has reported that Nolan and his representative have begun discussing the possibility with Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson.
Nolan was asked last summer about the online campaign to get him to direct Bond 24.
He said: "That's very, very flattering. But I haven't figured out what I'm doing next."
While Nolan is known to be a fan of 007 star Daniel Craig, he is already in the pre-production stages of his own next big film, Interstellar, with Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain.
Mendes had to turn down the chance to direct the next Bond movie due to his theatre commitments.
He previously revealed there would be at least a year to 18 months of pre-production preparation and then six months of filming involved on Bond 24.
