Newell to direct Litvinenko film?
Mike Newell is to direct a film about the mysterious death of ex-KGB spy Alexander Litvinenko.
The British director is developing the Warner Bros project with scriptwriter David Scarpa, according to Variety, and it will be based on the Alan Cowell book The Terminal Spy.
No talent has yet been attached to the film.
Litvinenko's death hit the headlines when he was poisoned with polonium-210 in London.
