Carey Mulligan has been tipped for new film Stoker

Carey Mulligan is to star in dramatic thriller Stoker alongside Jodie Foster, according to reports.

The drama, penned by screenwriter and Prison Break actor Wentworth Miller, would be the English language debut from South Korean director Park Chan-wook, who is most famous for Oldboy.

Carey, who appeared in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, would play a young woman whose eccentric uncle comes back into her life after the death of her father, reported the Los Angeles Times.

It is not sure what part Jodie will play, and the role of the uncle has yet to be decided.

Oldboy, which is expected to be remade by Steven Spielberg and Will Smith, won a top prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2004.
