WATCH: Newly released deleted scenes from Mrs Doubtfire are utterly heartbreaking
Mrs Doubtfire is one of those family comedies that has stood the test of time, but it could have been a very different film.
Two new scenes have emerged which were cut from the original 1993 film and they're utterly heartbreaking.
Robin Williams starred in the family film as actor Daniel Hillard who disguises himself as a female housekeeper in order to spend time with his children and ex-wife (Sally Field).
Directed by Chris Columbus it's the perfect balance of funny, moving and heartwarming. However, had these two deleted scenes been included it would have been a little weightier.
In one scene Daniel and his ex-wife have a bitter argument while their daughter Lydia (Lisa Jakub) participates in a spelling bee.
The second scenes shows the fallout after Daniel is revealed to be Mrs Doubtfire, the housekeeper - and it's horrible.
The deleted scene shows a terrible argument between the parents as seen by their kids.
