It may have been too chilly for Hollywood A-Lister Rooney Mara to take a dip in the icy waters of Dublin Bay.
But her stunt-double had no reservation in diving head first into the action during filming of the star’s new movie 'The Secret Scripture', which is based on the novel by Sebastian Barry and is being directed by Jim Sheridan.
Mara plays the lead role in the film, which sees her character, Roseanne McNulty, keep a diary of her extended stay at a mental hospital.
The 'Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' actress has been filming in Dublin for the last number of days with a number of action scenes being filmed on Dollymount Strand where the star’s double had to drag a boat out of the water in a high-octane sequence.
Earlier this week, Rooney Mara settled into the Gravediggers pub in Glasnevin alongside 'Love/Hate' stars Tom Vaughan Lawlor and Johnny Connors for one scene.
And on Tuesday, another testing sequence saw the actress's character give birth on Portrane beach in north county Dublin.
