Sir Roger Moore has paid tribute to his step-daughter Christina after her death from cancer.

The former Bond actor 88, posted the news alongside photographs of her on Twitter.

He wrote: "Our beautiful daughter Christina (aka Flossie) lost her battle with cancer 25 July at 10am. We are heartbroken.

"We were all with her, surrounding her with love, at the end."

Known by her full name Christina Knudsen, she was the daughter of his fourth wife, Kristina "Kiki" Tholstrup.

She was thought to be aged in her late 40s at the time of her death.

Ms Knudsen was previously married to investment banker Nikolaj Albinus. The couple married in the south of France and their high-profile wedding was featured in Hello! magazine, but only lasted 13 months.

She had lived in London since 1997 and had worked in interior design and property development.

In 2014 she launched Ochun, a private social club for single people.

She told the Evening Standard: " After I divorced I realised how difficult it was to meet like-minded people who were single. I was in my early 30s. All my friends were married, having kids, and I remember thinking 'Will I have to go on the internet?' It was a really shocking wake-up call."

Following her divorce, she was involved in a long-term relationship with Skype co-founder Janus Friis.
