Sean Penn looks unrecognisable on the streets of Dublin as he shoots new movie
Sean Penn looked unrecognisable as he stepped into character to shoot scenes for The Professor and the Madmen in Dublin on Monday.
The Oscar-winning actor Penn is playing the part of Dr William Chester Minor in the movie which tells the story of the creation of the Oxford English Dictionary.
The 56-year-old sported a face dressed with plasters, an unkempt beard and shaggy hair as he got into character for his role of Dr Chester, who submitted more than 10,000 entries to the dictionary while he was an inmate at an asylum for the criminally insane.
The movie is directed by Mel Gibson, who just finished a six-week stay in Ireland as he scouted locations for the project. The Braveheart star stayed in the €5,000-per-night Princess Grace Suite in the Shelbourne Hotel with his pregnant girlfriend Rosalind Ross, during his time in Dublin.
