Natalie Portman presents Waterford actor Moe Dunford with Shooting Star Award
Waterford actor Moe Dunford has received a Shooting Star award at Berlinale, the Berlin International Film Festival.
The prestigious prize is presented to ten promising actors from across Europe every year and Moe's performance in Terry McMahon's film Patrick's Day brought him to the attention of the judges.
The judges, established actors and directors, described him as 'a modern day Hollywood hero'.
Dunford was joined by UK winner Maisie Williams, who stars in Game of Thrones, and previous winners of the prize include Daniel Craig, Carey Mulligan, and Domhnall Gleeson.
Patrick's Day, about a young man with schizophrenia who falls in love, is Moe's first film. He has also starred in TV shows including Vikings, Game of Thrones, and The Tudors.
