Moviegoers are losing it over people making noise during A Quiet Place

A Quiet Place opened last weekend to rave reviews and a whopper box office, but if you're planning on going to see it there's something you should bear in mind.

**WARNING: MILD SPOILERS**

Written and directed by John Krasinski and starring himself and his lovely wife Emily Blunt, it is set in a world where alien monsters have invaded earth and if you make a noise they'll hunt you and eat you.

John and Emily and their kids are living in this tense environment so it's not spoiling anything to say that while we're in their company, things are quiet.

Things are, in fact, silent, and this is something viewers should know before stocking up on crackly packs of crisps, crunchy tortillas, popcorn etc.

Many people cannot tolerate movie theatres at the best of times thanks to loud eaters, heavy breathers, and paper cracklers (the worst), but when the movie is so quiet you can hear a pin drop, these traits are intolerable to even the most tolerant.

Unfortunately, the warnings come too late for some irked movie-goers who took to Twitter to share their fury.  Others tried to share their wisdom, earned the hard way...
