Matt Damon: 'Seeing U2 play in Ireland was a bucket list-type thing'
Matt Damon has revealed that seeing U2 play in Ireland was on his bucket list.
The Jason Bourne star visited Dublin last year to see the rock band when he had a weekend free from filming.
“We’d a weekend free and it happened to be the same weekend where U2 were playing and we said, ‘That is where we will go,’” he told Spin 103.8.
“The gig was awesome, it was kind of a bucket list-type thing.”
The 45-year-old said he had seen the band perform several times, but to see them in Ireland was “epic.”
“I’ve seen them I don’t know how many times in a whole number of places but to see them come home was just epic.”
The Oscar-winner added that his trip was a major success: “Everybody was unbelievably nice, it couldn’t have been better.”
Jason Bourne is in cinemas now.
