From cat killing on Love/Hate to co-starring with names including Michael Fassbender and Rachel Griffiths; Barry Keoghan's star is certainly on the rise.

The Love/Hate actor, who recently wrapped filming Trespass Against Us in the UK, has just announced he has landed another Hollywood role.

He tweeted the news, "Finally announce I’ve been cast in leading role with the brilliant Rachel Griffiths in a film called ‘MAMMAL’ directed by Rebecca Daly"

Irish director Daly's first feature 'The Other Side of Sleep' premiered in the Directors Fortnight at CAnnes in 2011 and earned her nominations for Best Director and Rising Star at the IFTAs 2012.

Her second film, Mammal, is a love story and Six Feet Under actress Rachel Griffiths will play the leading female role.

Barry (21) is fresh from filming Trespass Against Us with Michael Fassbender, Brendan Gleeson and Killian Scott.

The film follows a clan of Irish Travellers who wreak havoc in the British countryside and music giants The Chemical Brothers will write nad perform the score.

Keoghan will also shortly be seen in Irish films Stay and Belfast thriller '71.
