Kirsten Dunst reveals she hated filming 'The Beguiled' sex scene with Colin Farrell
Kirsten Dunst has revealed she did not enjoy shooting a sex scene with Colin Farrell for The Beguiled.
The trailer contains snippets of what looks like a pretty intense sexual encounter, which sees Dunst (34) on the floor as Farrell (40) rips open her bodice.
"I don't like it, I don't like it," she told E News. "To be honest, I'm like, 'Let's get this over with as fast as possible.'"
The film, a remake of the 1971 film of the same name, sees Farrell playing a wounded Civil War soldier who is taken in by a girls' boarding school in Virginia.
Elle Fanning and Nicole Kidman also star as women who fall for their secret visitor.
It sees Dunst working for the third time with director Sofia Coppola following starring roles in Marie Antoinette and The Virgin Suicides.
Having a female director made the tough scene a little easier to handle for Dunst.
She told the website that male directors want "to shoot it from every angle".
"At least Sofia's like, 'We're going to get this done quick, we're just gonna shoot it here, we'll do three takes, be done.'"
Farrell conceded it is harder for women to shoot sex scenes as they have been more exploited on screen than men.
"I really think a woman should be the boss completely in those scenes, whatever she needs to make her feel comfortable and allow her to have the freedom to do the job she needs to do."
