Awards season is gearing up for the big event, The Oscars, on February 22nd but amidst all the pomp and splendour and patting-on-backs some people have managed to maintain a sense of humour.

Staff over at the LA Times have doled out their 'Envy' awards, "prizes that represent the best of ignored moments from the last year in film".

Top of the list of winners is our own Killian Scott, for his role in John Michael McDonagh's Calvary.

He won, 'Top Drawer Use of a Bow Tie in an Irish Drama'.

They said, "Playing a lonely man with violent impulses, Scott's snug neckwear was the perfect accompaniment for his too-tightly-wound personality.

"Plus, says star Brendan Gleeson, 'he sported those bow ties with flair and intelligence.'"
