Jurassic World producers had the best reaction to Star Wars: The Force Awakens beating their biggest global ever opening record.
Jurassic World set a new record earlier this year with a global opening of a whopping €524.9 million.
Although it at first looked like Star Wars had fallen short in comparison, higher than expected domestic figures, have shunted it up to €528 million.
And Jurassic producer Frank Marshall tweeted his congratulations to director JJ Abrams, producer Kathleen Kennedy, and cast and crew.
The artwork attached to the tweet shows a T-Rex awarding a medal to the new BB-8 droid from Star Wars.
Both Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg and producer Frank Marshall have worked with Star Wars' Kathleen Kennedy on numerous occasions in the past.
It looks like Jurassic World is simply extending the same courtesy to Star Wars that was extended to them by Disney when they smashed the record previously held by Disney.
At that point Marvel congratulated Jurassic World being the new "opening weekend king" with a picture of Chris Pratt on top of a hammer-wielding T-Rex staring down at the Avengers.
