Actress Jennifer Aniston has told of her acute embarrrassment at her fiance Justin Theroux stumbling across her first movie role in the quintessential Irish horror film Leprechaun

Jennifer Aniston has told of her acute embarrassment over her first movie role in the quintessential Irish horror film Leprechaun.

The original Leprechaun film in 1993 has the distinction of launching the Friends superstar in her first leading role in a feature film and went on to spawn a string of sequels to the comedy horror franchise.

The original budget movie, which made almost 9 million dollars at the box office in 1993, starred a young dark-haired Jennifer Aniston in the role of Tory Redding, a young American girl on holidays who is chased by a killer leprechaun, played by Harry Potter star Warwick Davis, looking to get his pot of gold returned to him.

She told the Graham Norton Show last night of her mortification when her fiancé Justin Theroux came upon her first movie while flicking through the TV.

“Actually, it was a mortifying moment when Justin (Theroux) and I had just started to date.

“He was flipping through the channels and he stumbled upon that. And that was our next two hours much to my embarrassment.”

Meanwhile the most recent addition to the franchise, Leprechaun: Origins, was realised in the summer to an American audiences.

The makers of Hunger Games and Divergent were behind the prequel to the cult franchise which will be released across America next month.

It centres around two unsuspecting young American couples who stumble across a town’s chilling secret while backpacking through the Irish countryside.

“They quickly discover the idyllic land is not what it appears to be when the town's residents offer the hikers an old cabin at the edge of the woods. Soon, the friends will find that one of Ireland's most famous legends is a terrifying reality”, according to the movie tagline.

The leprechaun was played by WWE superstar Dylan “Hornswoggle” Postl in the latest take on the kitsch Leprechaun horror franchise.

Meanwhile Jennifer Aniston said she loved reprising her role as a sex-crazed dentist in Horrible Bosses 2.

She said she quickly got over the embarrassment of the flirting scenes with co-star and close friend Jason Bateman.

She said:  “I’ve known him 20 and some years, he’s like a brother to me and his wife is one of my best friends so in the rehearsal and first take we blushed and let the giggles out and then went for it.”

She also divulged that the famous Rachel hairstyle copied by millions of women was a nightmare to maintain.

She said: “I only had that style for a season and then it was gone. That baby had some legs!

“My hairdresser was loaded when he gave me the hair cut. He had a great time with the blow-dryer but didn't think that I would have to do it myself.

“He then leaves me with a round brush and hairdryer. I didn't know what I was doing. It was hair hell!”

Meanwhile she told how she turned into a superfan when she bumped into Clint Eastwood in Hollywood.

She said:  “I am so embarrassed. I was just leaving the Warner Brothers lot and I pulled up next to Clint.

“I’d never been face to face with him and I don’t know what came over me but I was just so shocked to see Clint Eastwood so close to me that I made a cellphone movie of him. He didn’t know anything. I am humiliated, but I still have it!”
