Jamie Dornan says it's 'total boll***s' that his wife doesn't support Fifty Shades role
Irish actor Jamie Dornan has slammed suggestions his wife protested his starring role in Fifty Shades of Grey.
The 32-year-old Co Down native shot to superstardom as Christian Grey in the film adaptation of the smash book trilogy and was rumoured to have pulled out of the second two films.
For several weeks, there were reports that his wife of two years, Amelia Warner, was uncomfortable with the raunchy nature of the films.
"Total boll***s!" he told the Daily Mail. "Of course she would have read the scripts well in advance, and she's massively supportive of Fifty Shades."
Dornan also said that the intention from the beginning was to create three films to honour the book trilogy, written by E L James.
"The idea was that we honor the trilogy and do all three," he explained.
"They wouldn’t have shot the film with us if there was a chemistry problem... whatever chemistry means," he added. "You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get a part like this, and they simply wouldn’t have cast us."
