Jamie Dornan: I've seen what stardom's done to Twilight pal Robert Pattinson
Jamie Dornan has revealed that his drinking buddy is none other that Twilight star Robert Pattinson.
The Fifty Shades of Grey actor has been pals with Rob for a while but isn't sure if his friend's experience with global stardom will help him deal with the upcoming media frenzy when the movie is released.
"I've been around Rob long enough to see what it's been like for him," he said.
"I don't know if it's been a benefit to witness that. Whatever that is.
"By the way, it's not the same thing. We're not the Twilight franchise. We're a different thing," he continued.
"Whatever my situation is, it's going to be different from Rob's. They are incomparable.
"I don't remember what we talked about the last time I saw him. I think we just got drunk," he added.
The 32-year-old former model also admitted he is astonished by how many people are telling him his life will change once the raunchy movie is released next month.
"Everyone that I meet, especially in LA. People who run studios or other actors or people who are strangers. Whatever happens, happens. I'll just roll with the punches," he added.
The privacy he previously enjoyed with his wife Amelia Warner and their young daughter has already vanished as his star has been on the rise.
"In London, they follow you around and you try to lose them, which is not a comfortable thing if you have a baby in the car," he said.
