Is Jamie Dornan going full frontal in Fifty Shades Darker?
Jamie Dornan is reportedly considering baring all in Fifty Shades Darker - for a starting fee of $1.5m.
The Northern Irish actor (33) managed to preserve his modesty in the first instalment in the series, Fifty Shades of Grey, much to the chagrin of some ardent fans.
Now Star magazine reports that a full-frontal scene could be included in the sequel.
“They’re offering Jamie a bonus of $1.5 million to do a full-frontal scene in Fifty Shades Darker,” a source told the magazine.
Dornan and co-star Dakota Johnson were reportedly paid a fee of $250,000 plus bonuses each for the first film and are in negotiations to increase those salaries for the follow-up.
Given the film bagged $569m worldwide gross so far it's likely their pay cheques will escalate to multiple millions.
Of the $1.5m full frontal bonus, the source added, “That’s just a starting figure.”
“They have assured Jamie that it won’t be overt but more of a brief tease – and he’ll have some creative control over how it’s handled."
Despite the commercial success of the first movie, director Sam Taylor Wood has left the franchise after reports of clashes with author EL James who retained creative control on set.
A director has yet to be hired, and James' husband Niall Leonard has come on board to pen the sequel.
Fifty Shades Darker will be released on February 10, 2017, while Fifty Shades Freed will open the following year on February 9, 2018 but for fans who would like to see a little more of Christian Grey before then, the DVD featuring the director's cut of Fifty Shades of Grey boasts ten more minutes of sex.
The DVD releases May 8.
