'I'm out of work ... and loving it', says actress Sarah Greene
Despite being one of Ireland's rising screen sirens, Sarah Greene is happy to take some time off work.
While her career progression is on the move across the water - with a role in crime drama Penny Dreadful and lots of auditions in LA - the recent star of RTE's series Rebellion admitted that she is currently at a loose end.
But the laid back thespian said that she is more than happy to enjoy some time off after a busy period of filming.
"I'm back from LA after being there for about seven or eight weeks," Sarah told the Herald.
"I'm up to nothing. I'm blissfully unemployed and happy.
"I didn't do any pilots (in LA). I read some scripts for auditions. I think I was just exhausted after filming Penny Dreadful so it was good to have some time off.
"I feel ready for work again so fingers crossed one of the auditions I did bites," she added.
Sarah plays Hecate Poole on Penny Dreadful, which also stars Hollywood hunk Josh Hartnett. She recently wrapped up filming the gothic drama in Spain and said she is hoping to keep her base in the States in the foreseeable future as she loves LA.
"I'm based in America. But you never know, that could change next week.
"Being out at work in LA is the nicest place to be. You don't get depressed because of the sun shining every day. I love it there."
"I've loads of mates working over there," added Sarah who dated Poldark star Aidan Turner for five years before their split last year.
