'I'll bury you' - Row erupts as producer says Alec Baldwin DID know co-star Nikki Reid was underage for sex scenes
A row has erupted between Alec Baldwin and Hollywood producer Dana Brunetti after Baldwin's claim he was misled about his Mini's First Time co-star Nikki Reid's age during filming.
Baldwin made the claim in his new memoir, Nevertheless. He said he rowed with filmmakers when he found out the Twilight actress was only 17 after they had shot sex scenes together.
"I was forty-seven, and it never occurred to me to ask how old Nikki Reed was," he wrote. "When I found out, just as we finished, that she was seventeen, I flipped out on the producers, who had told me something different."
However, Dana and co-producer Evan Astrowsky refuted Alec's claims in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Baldwin then took to Twitter to discuss, "And Hollywood producers like Brunetti never do anything shady or unethical?"
He tagged Dana, Hollywood reporter journalist Tatiana Siegel, Nikki, and the movie's writer and director Nick Guthe.
I was told she was 16 by her hairdresser. At the end of the shoot.— ABFoundation (@ABFalecbaldwin) April 5, 2017
You're already buried.
Dana responded, "You lied, face it, admit it and move on. I'm not afraid of bullies like you."
Baldwin then demanded to see the Screen Actor's Guild (SAG) paperwork that legally allowed him to film a sex scene with a minor.
Produce the union required release form and your problems are over.— ABFoundation (@ABFalecbaldwin) April 5, 2017
"If required, I'm sure there is one," wrote Dana. "But really, are you going to continue to deny that you didn't know she was 16?? I'll bury you."
Alec replied, "I was told she was 16 by her hairdresser. At the end of the shoot. You're already buried."
The problem with Hollywood is they cower to blowhard bullies like @ABFalecbaldwin. He can't handle when someone like me stands up to him.— Dana Brunetti (@DanaBrunetti) April 5, 2017
Calling Alec a "fool", Dana added: "She just came off a movie called 13!! Do I need to bring in the other crew to vouch that you knew?? @NickGuthe wanna weigh in."
Alec referred once again to the "union required release form", and called Dana a "Hollywood zombie".
Things got a little murky when Alec wrote, "I present you w the first ever Dan Brunetti award. You know what that's for...".
Dana then warned Alec to contact his agent "so he can warn you of the waters you're wading into."
Alec replied, "I would never wade into any water w someone who uses the phrase 'douche nozzle"
"So it is either you lied or are a daft idiot who claims you didn't know the age of your costar you spent weeks on set with. Which is it?" wrote Dana.
Alec had the last say, "Dana, you're very funny. Untalented, but funny. I'll see you at the 50 Shades of Gray restaurant opening," and then adding, "Ball gag, douche nozzle. You're a joke machine, little buddy."
