Game Of Thrones star Natalie Dormer has revealed that starring in a Hozier music video directed by her fiance was a testing experience for the couple.

Dormer (34) - who's engaged to Dublin actor and director Anthony Byrne - plays a lost soul in the video for Hozier's Someone New.

The couple met on the set of The Tudors 10 years ago, and Byrne will direct her again in new big-screen thriller In Darkness.

The Hunger Games actress gets up close and personal with a lot of men in the Hozier video, which sees her on a night out and cuts between reality and her imagination.

"If we can survive the material of that music video, I'm sure we can survive everything," she said.

"Anthony will push me to my limit.

"He won't let me get away with anything and he won't let me cash in on any of my normal tricks that us actors have up our sleeves."

Dormer, who is promoting horror flick The Forest, is a big fan of Bray musician Hozier.

"It's absurd how nice he is. His success couldn't happen to a nicer man, it really couldn't," she said.

"He's an absolutely incredible lyricist and a great musician - and he's quite good-looking."

While Dormer spends a lot of time in Belfast where Game Of Thrones is largely filmed, she described Dublin as her second home.

"I have to say Dublin is tattooed on my heart," she told Anton Savage on Today FM.

"Belfast isn't going to win that competition."

Dormer confirmed that her Game Of Thrones character, Margaery Tyrell, is alive but languishing in prison as the sixth season nears. It will air from April.
