Sex and the City 3 has yet to be confirmed, but star Kim Cattrall has revealed she would love to film the third instalment in Ireland.
The Hollywood star has visited these shores on a number of occasions, including when she filmed A Tiger's Tail with Brendan Gleeson in 2006.
"I'd probably be the last person really who could tell you anything about Sex and the City 3 - actors usually are the last to know, but everyone seems to be really busy.
"The greatest thing about any series now is that you can watch it over and over again on DVD and relive those experiences," she told the Herald.
"But I would love to film it in Ireland. The thing I love about here is that you wait 10 minutes and the weather is completely different, there would be a lot of stylish rain gear involved," she laughed.
Kim (58), who attended the premiere of her new HBO television series Sensitive Skin as part of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival last night, said that she was attracted to the show because it reflected what she was going through.
The show, which has been commissioned for a second season, is a black comedy that explores the insecurities of middle age.
"I was really attracted to Sensitive Skin because it's a story of a woman I never really knew before," she said. "I really wanted to explore a mid-life crisis and what it's about, not just in a physical sense," she added.
"They call it 'The Change', but it's more of an emotional journey about a woman saying, 'Am I happy? Have I done what I should do and what am I going towards?'
"It was reflecting a lot of what was happening to me," she added.
While in Dublin, Kim is looking forward to meeting up with some pals.
"You know, the sights I like to see when I'm here are my friends, their faces - just to spend time with them and catch up," she said.
