Disney has confirmed that a modern version of 1992 classic comedy Sister Act is happening.
The "new take" on the musical is currently in development, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The remake will be written by industry heavyweights Kirsten Smith and Karen McCullah, the women behind Legally Blonde, She's The Man and 10 Things I Hate About You.
Cinderella's Allie Shearmur is also on board to produce.
The family favourite originally starred Whoopi Goldberg as a cabaret singer and Las Vegas headliner who disguised herself as a nun after a run in with the mob.
Maggie Smith, Kathy Najimy and Wendy Makkena featured in the movie, which also turned soul singer Lauryn Hill into an international sensation.
The film was so successful that a sequel was released in 1993, and a Broadway musical in 2005.
No plot details or cast have been confirmed as of yet.
