Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones reveals secret past career - a Scientology telemarketer
Leslie Jones left her Ghostbusters cast members in stitches when she revealed her surprising past career.
Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday to promote the upcoming Ghostbusters film, but Jones revealed more than she planned to during the interview.
The Saturday Night Live actress left the audience and her co-stars in hysterics when Ellen asked her about a previous career path.
“You were a telemarketer for scientology…?” trailed the comedy host.
“Uh, yeah,” said Leslie.
“They kinda still don’t know I’m not a scientologist,” she admitted to the camera. “Thanks for blowing my cover.”
The reveal left her Ghostbuster colleagues hysteryically laughing, who looked genuinely oblivious.

“I needed to pay the rent and it was a very easy interview,” explained Jones.
“I just acted crazy,” she laughed.
“I’m sorry scientologists for revealing things,” she said blankly.
Ted 2 actress Kate McKinnon comically slid away from her on the couch, while Kristen Wiig said; “This is the best interview I’ve ever done.”
The live-action remake of Ghostbusters is set to hit Irish cinemas this July.
