FIRST LOOK: Brad Pitt's electric on-screen chemistry with Marion Cotillard in new film Allied
Brad Pitt’s on-screen chemistry with Marion Cotillard can be seen in this just-released trailer for their World War II thriller Allied.
The trailer was released today – on the same day that news broke that Jolie (41) is filing for divorce from Pitt (52) after two years of marriage.
The couple, known collectively as Brangelina, married in 2014 after nearly ten years together.
Jolie cited irreconcilable differences in legal documents filed on Monday, the celebrity news website TMZ said. While Pitt said he was “saddened” by the divorce proceedings and appealed for privacy.
Pitt headlines his new film Allied with fellow-Oscar winner Cotillard (40).
They play two assassins who fall in love during a mission in Casablanca in 1942 to kill a German ambassador.
The film’s producer Graham King reportedly told People that the actors “immediately had the utmost respect for each other.” In character, “their chemistry was electric”, he said.
The French actress is in a relationship with fellow actor Guillaume Canet, 43.
