Bill Pullman, Vanessa Redgrave, Cillian Murphy jetting in to Dublin for Audi Dublin International Film Festival
A HOST of the world's acting heavyweights, including Bill Pullman, Vanessa Redgrave and our own Cillian Murphy (below) and Barry Keoghan, will be jetting into Dublin for this year's Audi Dublin International Film Festival (ADIFF).
This year's festival will see seven movies enjoy their world premieres and over 100 features, nearly all receiving their Irish premiere.
The opening gala of ADIFF 2018 on February 21 will be the Irish premiere of Black 47, starring Love/Hate actor Barry Keoghan, who has been one of the breakout young stars in Hollywood in the past year. The movie also stars Moe Dunford and Stephen Rea, who will also attend the opening gala.
Bill Pullman, meanwhile, will attend the festival for the Irish premiere of his new western, The Ballad of Lefty Brown.
Oscar-winning actress Vanessa Redgrave will receive one of the two 2018 ADIFF Volta Awards, the festival's most prestigious award, for her lifetime of achievement in cinema at the Irish premiere of her new documentary on the refugee crisis, Sea Sorrow.
Gráinne Humphreys, festival director, said: "This year's Audi Dublin International Film Festival programme is a line-up of films that are rich, exciting and wonderful."
Tickets for screenings were released for sale last night on www.diff.ie.
