Mandy Moore is just like her daredevil character in Tangled, the film's directors have revealed.
The singer and actress provides the voice for feisty Rapunzel in the new Disney movie, and directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno said the role wasn't too much of a stretch for the 26-year-old.
"Mandy is Rapunzel in many ways. When we cast the role we had an idea of what we wanted the character to be, and once we met Mandy she really influenced who the character was," Nathan said.
"She's an action star in her own right - we went to Australia recently to promote the film and she went skydiving and it was the third time that she'd been skydiving. She really is a lot like Rapunzel."
Mandy, who attended the London premiere of the 3D film with the directors and animator Glen Keane, said she welcomed all comparisons with the Tangled heroine.
"I have a lot of admiration for Rapunzel. I think she's a good role model so I appreciate the compliment of them likening me to her," she added.
"I'd like to say that I'm like Rapunzel because she's not judgmental and she's open to new experiences and she's sort of naive, but in a really good way. I'd like to think that I have a little bit of all that in me."
