Academy Award winner Mo'Nique is pitching in to help announce the nominations for the upcoming Oscars.
The Precious star will join Tom Sherak, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, to reveal this year's list of hopefuls on January 25.
A year ago former stand-up comedian Mo'Nique earned her first-ever Oscar nomination, for her role as a loathsome mother in Precious.
She went on to win the best supporting actress prize and received a standing ovation from the star-studded Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
Precious, based on the novel Push by the author Sapphire, also landed a best adapted screenplay award at last year's Oscars.
Gabourey Sidibe, who played the title role, gained a best actress nomination but lost out to Sandra Bullock for her performance in The Blind Side.
The 83rd Oscar ceremony is set for February 27.
