Sienna Miller has signed up for Love And Friendship, a period comedy based on a Jane Austen story.
Sienna has been cast in the title role in the movie adaptation of Austen's novel Lady Susan, about a widow who searches for husbands - one for herself and one for her daughter, Herald.ie reported.
Boys Don't Cry actress Chloe Sevigny has also joined the film, directed by Oscar-nominated Whit Stillman, as a close friend of Lady Susan.
American filmmaker Whit is best known for Damsels In Distress and The Last Days Of Disco, which also starred Chloe.
Sienna, 32, recently admitted that she "sabotaged" her Hollywood prospects because of the way she behaved away from the film set.
The actress, who is returning to work after taking a year off to raise her young daughter, told Esquire magazine that she was "very lucky" to get a "second chance".
Austen's incomplete novella Lady Susan was never submitted for publication.
It was only published in 1871, as part of James Edward Austen-Leigh's memoir about his aunt, famous for the novels Sense And Sensibility and Pride And Prejudice.
