Ewan McGregor has joined the star-studded cast of drama August: Osage County.
The Scottish star is the latest addition to John Wells' big-screen adaptation of Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize-winning play, which can already boast Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts as leading ladies, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Abigail Breslin, Chris Cooper and Juliette Lewis.
The Weinstein Company revealed the news on Twitter, with the post: "Ewan McGregor to join #MerylStreep and #JuliaRoberts in AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY!"
Ewan, who was at the Toronto International Film Festival to promote his new film The Impossible with co-star Naomi Watts, is rumoured to play a university professor, who has left his wife (Julia's character) for one of his students.
Filming is scheduled to begin shortly, for a release in 2013.
