Mad Men star John Slattery has revealed he is in talks to direct a film.
The actor, best known for playing womaniser Roger Sterling in the series and who appears alongside Matt Damon and Emily Blunt in The Adjustment Bureau, is looking to start working on the project once all the legalities have been ironed out.
"I have a script that I just finished that I'm trying to work out the rights situation," he told the Huffington Post.
John, who has enjoyed being in front of the cameras for over 20 years, finally got a chance to experience what it's like behind the cameras when he directed two episodes of the period drama last year.
"That's why I asked to direct Mad Men, which was a great experience, but it's someone else's vision, it's clearly Matt Weiner's vision of the show," he recalled.
His forthcoming film, which he can't name because of the ongoing legal wrangles, hopes he can "at least shepherd" it to success, but it dropped on his lap unexpectedly.
"I went to a concert somewhere and I ended up sitting next to the guy who controls the rights to the movie. And I said to him, 'You're not the guy who controls...' and he said, 'Yeah, why, you want it? I'll give it to you'," John added.
