Liam Neeson's cameo in The Hangover sequel has been cut due to scheduling conflicts.
The Taken star was due to play a Bangkok tattoo artist in the comedy but director Todd Phillips has decided to reshoot the scene, and Liam was in London shooting the Clash Of The Titans sequel and was no longer available.
Face/Off's Nick Cassavetes has now been recast in the role, which was originally given to Mel Gibson, before Liam stepped in to the breach.
Todd told Variety: "We were in a complete time crunch so I called up Nick and asked if he would do the part.
"He came in and crushed it and that is the scene that you will ultimately see in the film. (I'm excited for everyone) to see the film. It turned out great."
During editing Todd chose to cut the scene that came immediately after Liam's cameo so he needed to re-shoot.
The Due Date director said the sequel to the surprise hit comedy about a group of friends at a bachelor party in Las Vegas, starring Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms, would follow a "similar structure to the first in that it is a mystery/investigation comedy" but is set in Thailand.
The Hangover Part II is due out on May 26.
