Jude Law is set to reunite with Steven Soderbergh on The Side Effects.

The Sherlock Holmes star is said to be in talks to team up once again with the Contagion director on the upcoming psychological thriller, in which he is tipped to play a psychiatrist, reported The Playlist.

Green Lantern actress Blake Lively is rumoured to be cast as Emily Hawkins, a woman who turns to prescription drugs to cope with her husband's forthcoming release from prison, while Channing Tatum - who worked with Steven on Haywire and Magic Mike - will take the role of her hubby.

Written by Scott Z Burns, the director's frequent collaborator, filming is scheduled to begin in April for a 2013 release.

Jude, who reprised his role as Dr Watson in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes sequel A Game Of Shadows, has been filming 3D animation Rise Of The Guardians, in which he voices the Boogeyman alongside Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher and Alec Baldwin.
