Krueger star to work with Burton
Jackie Earle Haley is said to be in talks to join Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's Dark Shadows.
The Watchmen star recently played Freddy Krueger in a remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street while Johnny starred in the original horror film, and now the pair are to appear alongside one another in Tim's movie adaptation of the 60s gothic vampire TV soap, Deadline.com reports.
Jackie is expected to play con artist Willie Loomis, who comes to the small town of Collinwood with the aim of swindling the reclusive matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard. But he has the shock of his life when he breaks into the family mausoleum hoping to steal jewellery and finds vampire Barnabas Collins, played by Johnny, in the coffin instead.
Willie gets attacked by Barnabas and ends up as his bloodsucking servant.
Meanwhile, young Australian actress Bella Heathcote - who played Amanda Fowler in Aussie soap Neighbours - is tipped to play Victoria Winters, the young governess of the Collins estate.
Dark Shadows will be the eighth film Johnny and Tim have teamed up for.
The box office topping duo who have worked together on hit films including Alice In Wonderland, Edward Scissorhands and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street.
Filming is due to start in April.
