Keira Knightley had a style disaster on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival when the blustery wind clashed with her sweeping hair-do.
The 29-year-old actress - who had her brown hair tied back in a loose ponytail with wavy bangs framing her face - battled on along the red carpet clutching her hair to the side of her face so she could see where she was going.
Keira, who admitted she had enjoyed a stiff drink before braving the carpet, laughed it off when asked how she she was keeping her composure, exclaiming: "I'm not! Look, I'm like this with my hair, trying to keep like that!" She asked her stylist: "What am I going to do?! Is it alright?!
The British star was promoting her new comedy Say When, released under the name Laggies in the US. Keira plays a 28-year-old girl going through a quarter-life crisis so she lies to her fiance about going on a retreat so she can hang out with a teenage girl and her single father, played by Chloe Moretz and Sam Rockwell.
Keira, who was wearing a navy dress by Michael van der Ham, admitted the comedy had been a bit of light relief for her after heavy roles in films like Anna Karenina and A Dangerous Method.
She said: "I just thought it was really fun, I totally understood what she was going through and I loved all the characters in it.
"I went through a period of doing some very heavy films and I got to the end of Anna Karenina and went 'I just want to do things that are a bit lighter.'
"So I did Begin Again and then I did this. I just felt the character is incredibly optimistic and quite floppy and I normally play taut, neurotic people and it was nice to do something very different."
