Kingsley for Night At The Museum 3
Sir Ben Kingsley has joined the cast of Night At The Museum 3.
The Oscar-winning actor will play a "formidable Egyptian pharaoh" on display in the British museum, who soon comes to life with a magical tablet, reported Deadline.
Ben Stiller is set to reprise his role as the night watchman in the third instalment, alongside funnywoman Rebel Wilson who has been cast as the night security guard.
Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais and Dan Stevens will also appear in the film, which is being directed by Shawn Levy.
Night At The Museum 3, which has been written by Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant, David Guion and Michael Handelman, is set for release in Christmas 2014.
Ben, who previously had scene-stealing turns in Iron Man 3 and Ender's Game, will next star in thriller Eliza Graves alongside Kate Beckinsale and Sir Michael Caine, and is lending his voice to 3D stop-motion movie The Boxtrolls.
