Katy Perry: I only do great things
Katy Perry said she was willing to push herself as far as it took to make a great movie.
The Firework singer greeted fans at the Los Angeles premiere of her new 3D film Katy Perry: Part Of Me in an elegant red prom dress, and then changed into tiny shorts and a popcorn skirt and a bra made of film showreels to perform for the crowd.
The film shows Katy on her long California Dream World Tour, during which her marriage to Russell Brand fell apart, and shows her breaking down at her lowest ebb.
Katy said: "The tour was a bit exhausting but nothing great comes so easily and I always like to put out things that are great."
She added: "I fear nothing. I had complete control, I could have taken it all out but I left it all in."
The 27-year-old singer said she was so proud to be showing her film at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, where star guests included Kathy Griffin and Selena Gomez.
Katy said: "It's so intense and overwhelming in all the right ways. I'm very proud and very excited and I can't believe that this is happening. I had to borrow money from my 16-year-old brother at one point and now we're shutting down Hollywood Boulevard - life is crazy."
Asked why the movie wasn't called Katy Perry: All Of Me she laughed: "I have so many more secrets."
