Johnson set to hunt down monsters
Dwayne Johnson is set to take on giant monsters in action adventure The Monster Hunter's Survival Guide.
The pro wrestler, known as The Rock, will star in the big-screen adaptation of John Paul Russ' comic book miniseries, reported Deadline.
A director and screenwriter has yet to be found, but X-Men: First Class producer Simon Kinberg is to produce the movie, which is described as a "comprehensive guide" to hunt a variety of creatures including the undead, unnatural beasts and fantasy creatures.
Dwayne - who helped drive the cast of Fast Five to box office victory and revived his Rock persona in the wrestling ring to host WrestleMania XXVII - is currently working on GI Joe 2: Retaliation.
His upcoming films include family-friendly adventure Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, followed by action thriller Snitch with Susan Sarandon and is attached to play Goliath in a retelling of the David and Goliath story, titled Goliath.
