Paul Rudd has apparently joined the cast of new film The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.

The Knocked Up star is on board to appear alongside Harry Potter's Emma Watson and Percy Jackson actor Logan Lerman in the adaptation of Stephen Chbosky's novel, Deadline reports.

The Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev is also said to have signed up for a "much sought-after lead role" in the movie, which tells the story of Charlie, a shy freshman navigating his way through high school.

Emma - who celebrated her 21st birthday this month - will take on the role of Sam, an older pal of Charlie (played by Logan), while Paul is rumoured to be starring as Charlie's English teacher Bill.
