Jennifer Lopez's Oscar-worthy role
Jennifer Lopez thinks one of her movie roles deserved an Oscar.
The actress and singer, who has yet to clinch an Academy Award, said her part in 2007 drama El Cantante was worthy of the little gold statue.
She told Latina magazine: "I feel like I had that [Oscar-worthy part] in El Cantante, but I don't even think the Academy members saw it - I feel like it's their responsibility to do that, to see everything that's out there, everything that could be great."
J-Lo said she watched the awards ceremony shortly after welcoming her twins Max and Emme into the world in 2008 and couldn't help wishing she'd won a gong.
"I was sitting there with my twins - I couldn't have been happier - but I was like, 'How dope would it have been if I would've won the Oscar and been here in my hospital bed accepting the award?'" she said.
But the 40-year-old - who has starred in romantic comedies such as The Wedding Planner and Maid In Manhattan - said she won't let herself get all "crazy twisted" over it happening for her.
"I have the utmost faith and no doubt that it will one day, when and if it's supposed to," she said.
