It's time to meet the Muppets again, 12 years on

KERMIT and Miss Piggy shared the stage with real-life actros at the world premiere of 'The Muppets in Hollywood' at the weekend.

Legions of fans worldwide have waited since 1999 to see the Muppets on the big screen again . . . and the wait will be over in two weeks when the latest Disney production opens.

In the film, viewers are introduced to new Muppet, Walter, who convinces his brother Gary -- played by Jason Segel -- and his girlfriend -- played by Amy Adams -- to go to LA to see the Muppets Studio.

Upon arrival, they find out an oil tycoon plans to tear the studio down to get to the oil underneath the building. Getting the Muppets back on the big screen was important for Mr Segel. "It just seemed to me unfair that there hasn't been a Muppet movie in 12 years," he said, "I grew up with the Muppets, and they really informed who I wanted to be as a comedian. Sort of as a person as well."

Also at the launch was 'Clash of the Titans' star, Izabella Miko.
